How June Elmer and Ice Guru Events are making Valentine’s unforgettable—with ice, DJs, and pure artistry
In this episode of Coffee with Steve & Margaux, we meet June Elmer—Assistant Manager at Ice Guru Events—who’s turning cold blocks of ice into some of the hottest Valentine’s Day gifts in Grand Rapids.
From custom-engraved ice hearts with frozen roses (yes, really) to a full-blown silent disco at the JW Marriott, June and the Ice Guru team are redefining what it means to celebrate love in West Michigan. Whether you're popping the question with “Will you marry me?” etched in ice or dancing the night away with live DJs, this is Valentine’s done differently.
June's story is a powerful reminder of the creative energy that makes Grand Rapids cool. After moving from Las Vegas to West Michigan, she found her rhythm in the seasons—and her people—in a community that celebrates bold ideas.
So whether you're a local or visiting for the festival scene, West Michigan has surprises that melt even the iciest hearts.
